So on wikipedia I found out some funny facts about out some facts about the american president, the Dipshit-In-Chief himself, George W. Bush
¬He signed a $1.35 Trillion tax cut in 2001 (just as we were stable and out of debt)
¬He has the highest disfavor level of any US President (and tops the Interrnational list of unpopular politicians)
¬In secondary school he played baseball and was head cheerleader at an all-boys school
¬He got his bachelor's Degree in History from yale as an average student
¬He was accepted in to the Texas Air National guard as a pilot scoring the lowest passing grade
¬His attendance was horrible while on inactive duty
¬He vetoed SCHIP, The State Children’s Health Insurance Program, spending an average of $5 billion yearly to about $12 billion (we can't afford it because we gave $1.35 trillion back to rich people and we're spending trillions more on a war over oil)
¬First time he saw the damage in new Orleans after Hurricane Katrina was when he flew over it in his plane, Air Force One, and returned a few days later to actually look at it, he didn't do anything but talk until he got to New Orleans
¬Bush condemned the attacks by militia forces on the people of Darfur, and denounced the killings in Sudan as genocide.[130] Bush said that an international peacekeeping presence was critical in Darfur, but opposed referring the situation to the International Criminal Court. (directly from George W. Bush on Wikipedia)
¬In a speech he said a few things about Iraq (surge of troops, job program for Iraquis, reconstruction propsal, US$1.2 billion for said programs) and when congress gave him a bill to sign so they could do that stuff he talked about, Bush vetoed the bill (so you say we need to do something but when we propose to do something you say no? Doesn't make sense)
The guy that go second place in the 2000 republican primaries, Sen. John McCain
¬Retired USN Captain (Army/Marines/Air Force equivalent: Colonel)
¬His father and Grandfather were both 4-star Admirals
¬Received Silver Star, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart and Distinguished Flying Cross during Vietnam service
¬Was a mischief-maker and boxer at the US Naval Academy
¬As a Lt.Commander (Major) he was shot down, taken as a POW and damn near killed by North Vietnamese
¬He was offered the chance to get out of the POW camp but refused because there were other POW's that wouldn't be leaving with him that just happened to get there before him
¬When tortured to give the names of his Squadron members, he gave the Green Bay Packer's Offensive Line
¬From October 26, 1967 until March 15, 1973 he was a POW (while bush was on inactive duty and skipping out on formation)
And we wonder why the US is militarily facked. . .
Not saying I like McCain or want him to win the 2008 election, just saying we'd be less facked if he was at least in the cabinet because then "exit strategey" would be in Bush's vocabulary before we invaded the Middle East
