Big changes in my life.

Everyone,

I signed up for the United States Marine Corps today, I don't leave for basic training until April but that is thirteen weeks long then I have my various schools afterwards so I will be gone for the better part of a year. I will be able to check the forums every now and again during job schools and I don't know about what will happen when I ship out to fleet.

Up until I ship out, I'll still be here but after that I don't know. I'll do my best to stay in contact with as many of you as possible.

My parents have not taken well to the news so I might start getting patchy before I ship. That, and shit might happen between now and then.

Most of what is happening with my parents is my mother sobbing and doing her best to get me to not ship out and cancel my stuff.

I did discuss it with them, the ruling was "Why would anyone waste their life in the military"

Anyways, I have dates.

Ship to Basic: April 27
Graduate Basic: July 24
Ship to MCT: August 3
Graduate MCT: August 31
Ship to Job school: September 1

My job school is going to be no less than 10 weeks and from there I ship to my first duty station, most likely in Florida.

The military is something great to do with your life when you have no direction...Not that you have none Innos () but i think it's awesome. I've thought about joining the USMC one day...when i'm old enough...Or the seals.
