Reinstall game, install latest DirectX, and do a bunch of other tweaking with your settings. All I can say.

i cant reinstall because it wont let me uninstall. i click "uninstall" and it goes through the uninstall wizard thing and it asks me if i want to remove all of the content...i click yes and then it begins to install. but right after it starts, it goes to a different box that says that it has completed all of the maintenance operations. but it doesnt uninstall

[glow=white,2,300] Vista Ultimate = Pure Ownage BUT you actually NEED to know what your using to efficiantly see the advantage + for now, WinXP supports ALL + Home Made programs that Vista has problems or bugs running... I suggest you to study your own situation depending on the programs you run and the sacrifices you are ready to make for possible advantage you would use BEFORE you think about switching to Vista (Ultimate plz lol). It simply depends on each people wich is better for now, until VISTA takes control of the world and then you will have to worry being in the middle of a huge War between Bus... Microsoft and his HUGE Army of many other CONQUERED companies against the Axis of Evil of the Internet, and user of HUGE WEAPONS OF MASS POPULARITY = The GOOGLE Empire ! lol Stay Tune [/glow]
