[glow=white,2,300] We did ALOT of tests on many things and his Game itself is not the source of the problem. The problem resides between his Graphic Card and exploitation System. (Tried to reinstall Graphic Card's Drivers and reinstalled Direct X allready).
So I don't know whats causing this... [/glow]

1) if u have netmeeting installed end it, uninstall it or w/e 2) If your on Nvidia I heard Opengl works better on the older drivers it also would probably apply to ATI too (I find my old ati driver ran stuff better) 3) My bro fixed this problem with a .exe patch some how. idk what he did it was awhile ago. So there shud be a fix out there if its not ur gfx cards fault

Well there's a cmg that messes with the OpenGL system if you put it to "1" in jka.. can't remember the command atm but i'll let u know when it comes back to my mind O.o it's one of the r_ or cg_ commands that's what i know.. try messing around with them maybe ^^
umm, remember sum1 having the same problem some time ago.. try reinstalling jka eventually and deleting all the .cfg files in your base folder before you run the game again so if the cmg is stored in any of them it wont be set to "1" by any cfg.. dunno^^

well i just found like.. that it's
->
vm_ui "1"
that may cause the OpenGL to not start properly
so.. try running your jka with a cmd line like
Start -> Run ->
"C:\..\...\Jedi Academy\GameData\jamp.exe" +set vm_ui "0"

[glow=white,2,300] We tried completelly NEW installations of JK3, its truelly not about the game since I even tested assembling the game piece by piece on a very Pure version of the game with no cfg or binds or Nothing --> Still doesn't launch ! [/glow]

id say look in c:/windows/system 32/ for 3dfx.dll if its there cut it out of the system32 folder and also how did it start to not work did u change something on your computer? also if 3dfx.dll doesn't work sign on msn and ill fix your opengl

my computer died so until a new computer i ordered arrives ive been using an old 500MHz comp with no graphics card.
when i try to run JKA the error message i receive is this: GLW_StartOpenGL() - could not load OpenGL subsystem
this makes it very likely that your problem is being caused by your graphics card/AGP slot/graphics drivers. espcially since OpenGL is a graphics program.
do your other games work alright? or is it just JKA?
if other games are not working it could be that your graphics card has packed in. i see no reason why the driver would have changed itself.
the above post is also very logical..when did it cease to work?
i wouldnt recommend removing .dll files though, having a 3dfx glide driver installed shouldn't make any difference.T

[glow=white,2,300] I was thinking the same thing (about DLLs.) but maybe there's a problem with V1.0 and some ATI Cards (In a rare case), since this actually worked for SD (Yeah, WTF !!?? lol). [/glow]
